Who I am

I’m Shahadat Shahi, and I run PianoRanked from London. I’m a researcher, not a pianist, and the site never pretends otherwise: every review says near the top what it draws on. My working life is in advertising, which means I spend my days looking at how products are presented, and I know what a spec sheet and a shop page are built to make you feel. PianoRanked exists because choosing a digital piano from those pages is harder than it should be, and most of the sites that promise to help are ranking what they’re paid to rank.

What the site is

Buying guides, comparisons, brand and model reviews, and lessons on the basics, for people buying a digital piano for a home in the United States. Every guide names one pick to buy and says who should skip it. Every guide, comparison, review and lesson carries the date it was published and the date it was last updated, and those dates move only when the content changes.

How the research works

Every spec on the site comes from the maker’s own published pages, which are linked from the pages that cite them. Owner reports and published reviews are summarized and attributed, never passed off as our own testing. For pianos, the keys come first, then the sound, the speakers, the connections and the weight, within each guide’s budget and the player it’s for. Before a page goes live, every product on it is checked for a current offer on Amazon US, and a product that loses its offer loses its button. The how-we-research page explains each step.

What we don’t do

  • No hands-on claims.
  • No star ratings.
  • No prices, because they change daily.
  • No paid placements, sponsored rankings or brand partnerships; no maker has ever paid for a place on a page.

How the site earns

PianoRanked is an Amazon Associate. When you buy through a “Check price on Amazon” button, Amazon pays us a small commission; it costs you nothing and it never changes a ranking. The affiliate disclosure has the detail.

Corrections

If a spec is wrong or a pick no longer makes sense, write to hello@pianoranked.com; corrections are made and the page’s updated date moves.
