Affiliate Disclosure
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Here is what that means, in plain words.
Updated
What it means
When you open Amazon from a “Check price on Amazon” button on this site and buy something, Amazon pays PianoRanked a small commission. You pay Amazon’s price, the same as if you had gone there yourself. The commission is how the site pays for itself.
Which links earn
Every link to Amazon on the site is an affiliate link: the “Check price on Amazon” buttons, “Check price” on phones, and product names that open Amazon. They open in a new tab and are marked as sponsored for search engines. Links to the makers’ own pages, and to anywhere else, earn nothing.
Amazon is the only one
PianoRanked’s only affiliate program is Amazon Associates in the United States. If that ever changes, this page will say so first.
It never decides a pick
Commission never decides a ranking. Pianos are weighed in the fixed order set out on the how-we-research page, and no maker has ever paid for a place on a page: no paid placements, sponsored rankings or brand partnerships.
Where you’ll see it
Every page that links to Amazon says so at the top, before the first link: “As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases, at no extra cost to you.” This page gives the detail, as the US Federal Trade Commission’s Endorsement Guides (16 CFR Part 255) ask.
